I discovered sleeved cabling a couple of years ago and i haven’t built a demo system without them since. Not exactly the most secure solution but it works! I suspect that these required boosters are a bit on the more costly side when being purchased by the riser cable manufacturers, and they pass on that increased cost to us.combined with an additional profit for them added to our cost.

Nzxt Listened And Provided A Fix To Their H1 Itx Case By Giving A Replacement Gen4 Pcie Cable.


Of course, they are probably also factoring in the additional time & labor into that cost increase. The original h1's pcie riser cable could short and catch fire, and while nzxt has gone to great lengths to fix this design issue and help affected users, nzxt needed to make bigger changes to distance themselves from these highly publicised woes.
