Our starting points have changed as well; May 22, 2019 in cpus, motherboards, and memory. Tomshardware says 9900kf may overclock better but they are little bit biased so i can't fully trust them.

I have kraken nzxt x62. With the 9900k you can also increase tjmax levels, which will increase the throttle point of your cpu. It would be kinda nuts to think you need to overclock the fastest gaming cpu you can buy just because you have a powerful gpu.
I Tried A 5Ghz Overclock With 4.7Ghz Uncore (As Per Aorus Guide) And I Found That Not Even 1.4V Was Enough.
A 600 watt psu would serve you normally, but for overclocking i would recommend more. So you need at least 650w psu with the 12v rail current higher than 30a, if you plan to overclock. So far, it's driving me steadily on some 4.9ghz at 1.28v.
