My gigabyte g1 980 overclocks like a beast and still stays cool, and will probably beat almost any 1060 if i oc it(i only did it for curiousity in a few games and left it at factory oc after that). But the 1060 will draw less power, run cooler and quieter, and has more vram.
But That's Assuming The Laptop Is Pushing A 1440P Display Otherwise The 1060 Is Enough.
